Functional Animated Industrial Locker

My biggest pet peeve is when a creator takes a perfectly good mesh for a dresser and makes it into a TS2 functional dresser, but doesn't animate it.  By animate I mean, the doors should open and close when the Sim changes clothes with the dresser.  This object was just that.  The mesh was extracted from a popular game as part of a grungy hospital set by a creator well known for her TS2 conversions of meshes from various video games.  The original object was cloned from a TS2 dresser so it was functional, but because it had no joints assigned, it wasn't animated.  I really liked the mesh, but I wanted it as a functional dresser for my game and I wanted it animated dammit!.  So I resized the mesh to fit Maxis dressers, ripped it apart, separated it into the various moveable and non-moveable parts, assigned the joints for dressers, put everything back together, cloned a Base Game dresser and here it is.  I share with you...

The Functional and Animated Industrial Locker.

Mesh Statistics:
  • 1090 faces on 4 tiles (273 faces/tile)
  • Appears in the catalog under Miscellaneous/Dressers for 200 Simoleons
  • Recolorable.  Comes with 4 custom recolors...gray, graphite, tan and steel.
  • Base Game compatible
  • Functional
  • Animated

Tested in a vanilla game with all expansions plus M&G

My policy on creating:  If an object can be made into a functional object for TS2, that's what it will be and if it can be animated, it will be animated.
