Maxis Match Spiral Wrought Iron Stairs

Several weeks ago I received a request from Maria (you may know her as "Mustluvcatz") to make a wrought iron spiral stair to match the Maxis "WroughtWright, Inc." modular stairs.  This is in answer to that request.

Weirwood Tree from "Game of Thrones"

"The Weirwood is a species of deciduous tree found all over Westeros; it has white bark with five-pointed, blood-red leaves and sap.  A heart tree is the center of a Godswood. It is a Wierwood tree that has a face carved into the wood of the trunk. Heart trees are sacred in the religion of the Old Gods of the Forest, and the closest thing to a "shrine" that the religion possesses.
Weirwoods have red sap, which leaks out of the deep cuts in the trunk made for the eyes of the faces - giving the appearance that they are weeping tears of blood. The faces are thought to have been carved by the Children of the Forest and were later worshiped by the First Men as well."

Animated Spiral Stairs

I was happy when the AL Expansion Pack introduced spiral stairs, but I found them limited in their use.  I didn't always want an open spiral staircase.  The styles provided by Maxis looked especially out of place in my Medieval Hood.  In fact, most of the time I wanted a spiral staircase that was enclosed like the one I have in my own home.  This set includes three different types of spiral staircases that are designed to be enclosed by walls on at least three sides.  They should not be used as free-standing stairs like the Maxis spiral stairs.  Not that they won't function, they just look strange without walls.  The stairs in this set were not cloned from the Maxis spiral stairs.  They use Marvine's custom animations for spiral stairs and don't depend on the Maxis animations to work in the game.  You do not need Marvine's stairs or her animation files for these to work.  All the stairs are base-game compatible so even if you don't have AL, you can have functioning, animated spiral stairs.

Paneled Doors and Windows Update - Slot for the Colonnades!

With a little memory jog from Mustluvkatz, I was able to add a decorative slot to the shelf on the two colonnades.  Thanks Maria!  I coded the slot so it will accept sculptures, table lamps and tabletop plants.

Paneled Doors and Windows Set

I've always wanted a 9-light paneled door for my game, but there didn't seem to be any available that I could find ("lights" in construction terms refers to window panels).  I was building a TS2 house in the Cotswold Cottage style and it really needed that type of door,  so I decided to make one for myself.  I based the door design on one that I've used in my own home.  Next, I decided I needed another door to match, but without the lights.  From there, everything just snowballed and after 25 new meshes for the set that now included 7 doors, 2 arches, 5 casement windows, an octagonal window, 3 sidelights, 2 colonnades and five shutters all based on construction elements in my own home, I decided I was done.

Art Deco Mailbox

I made this per a request from my good friend Lisa (Red Sonja).  She was planning on building an Art Deco Post Office lot and needed a mailbox in the same style.  The box is purely decorative so your Sims can't send mail with it, but it looks pretty to them.
